Materials we Use

Polyolefin Family

  • Types: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)

Applications: HDPE is best for rigid packaging, such as milk jugs and detergent bottles, due to its strength and durability. LDPE is ideal for film applications and flexible containers like squeeze bottles, owing to its flexibility and toughness.

  • Types: Homopolymer Polypropylene and Copolymer Polypropylene

Applications: Homopolymer PP is suited for high-load parts such as automotive bumpers and storage containers due to its stiffness and chemical resistance. Copolymer PP, being more impact-resistant, is preferred for living hinges and parts that require extra toughness at lower temperatures.

Styrenic Family

  • Types: General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) and High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)

Applications: GPPS is widely used in consumer product applications like CD cases and household goods for its clarity and ease of molding. HIPS is best for products requiring durability with aesthetic appeal, such as appliance components and toys.

  • Types: General Purpose ABS and Flame-Retardant ABS

Applications: General Purpose ABS is often used for automotive interior parts and electronic housings due to its excellent toughness and aesthetic qualities. Flame-Retardant ABS finds its best use in applications requiring high safety standards, like enclosures for electrical and electronic assemblies.

Engineering Plastic Family

  • Types: PA 6 and PA 66

Applications: PA 6 is best for mechanical parts like gears and bearings due to its high impact resistance and strength. PA 66, with higher temperature resistance, is suitable for under-the-hood automotive components and high-performance machinery parts.

  • Types: General Purpose PC and PC Blends (e.g., PC-ABS)

Applications: General Purpose PC is ideal for transparent applications requiring high impact strength and precision, such as bulletproof glass and eyewear lenses. PC Blends, particularly with ABS, provide a balance of strength and toughness for items like medical devices, automotive components, and protective gear.
